My WIT Is Done :)

Hi My WIT is now done yay. We sent emails to Nathan Hill here is what he sent us.

Hi Anna, Taryn, Abbie and Aria
Nice one J  I had a look at the link.  The songs are very catchy and the information is correct.  It does show pictures of caterpillars after a section on centipedes.

Caterpillars actually only have 6 true legs (they are the larvae of insects) the rest of the leg like structures  - proto legs – are not true legs so caterpillars they are still grouped as insects even though it looks like they have more than 10.
I’m not sure what else you want me to provide feedback on.  This is a chart I refer to sometimes which shows how invertebrates fit in the classification table. It has a lot of other entomology jargon that 7-8 year olds do not need to know. For example echinoderms can simply be called the starfish group.

When I'm Up To In WIT

Where I'm up to on WIT Dear Mrs Parks and Mrs Mills We are making a scratch quiz for our WIT and the target age is Year 3 and 4. Our WIT is to study invertebrates and make a resource to help year 3 and 4 identify invertebrates from the Frankley school bush. We would like to talk to 2 people in your class to ask these questions and see what they think and to give us some ideas about a helpful resource. What would be a suitable time and day to talk to 2 of the Te Pihinga students. Questions Do You use technology like computers or laptops much in your class? Would a website or something similar be useful to your class? If not what would you recommend us to use? If so Why do you think we should change? Do you know much about invertebrates ( bugs without a backbone)? Does your class struggle identify bugs or invertebrates ( bugs without a backbone)? Has your class looked into invertebrates yet? My Limerick

Hi this is a limerick story that does not make any sense. I did not make this by myself I did it with someone called Lucia in my class. This is the limerick that we wrote

(8) Once there was a fat stinky goat.

(8) Who wanted to float on a boat.

(5) And saw a big bee.

(5) That was stuck in a tree.

(8) And no one would vote for the goat.
